After you’ve been involved in an accident in the state of Florida, unless you need immediate emergency attention, you need to stay on the accident scene. Call the police. Make sure that you tell the police officer how the accident happened. It’s also very important after an auto accident that you obtain photographs of your car and any other vehicle that’s been involved in the accident. Finally, make sure you obtain the names and phone numbers of any witnesses that have any knowledge about the accident. Understand that if you leave the scene of the accident without a crash report being done, that there will not be the evidence that you may need to support your case later.
